Known Issues

WebNowse is stable and safe, but it is still in beta status:

• WebNowse is as safe as Internet Explorer.
• Files whose Windows Explorer 'Confirm open after download' shell attribute is not set, open directly with other applications. This can be prevented by a registry fix. For more info see: Registry.
• WebNowse consumes system resources. It runs a full instance of Internet Explorer all the time, and the randonly visited web pages may consume various system resources (RAM, CPU).
• When WebNowse is not running minimized, but is not active it may steel occasionally the system focus from other applications.
• Some Internet Explorer security pop-ups may not be avoided at some very rare cases. In this case WebNowse will hang.
• Similarly to Internet Explorer, corrupting index.dat while WebNowse is running may crash WebNowse.
• No other issues known at the moment.
